Services
Dr. Gavin provides services in psychological assessment, learning disabilities testing, autism evaluations, psychotherapy and consultation. She works with families, children, and adults. She works with people who have a variety of concerns, but specializes in autism evaluation and treatment. Dr. Gavin has particular expertise in the evaluation of very young children suspected of having autism, and will see children as young as one year of age. She does not see individuals in acute psychiatric crisis.
Fees
Assessment
Psychodiagnostic and Psychoeducational Testing
Approximately $1500 -$2000 depending on the number of tests used
Includes ADHD assessment, intelligence testing, achievement testing, and personality testing. The total cost of the evaluation varies from person to person, but will be determined at the initiation of testing. Charges include meeting with the family prior to testing to obtain background information, face to face testing time, test scoring, report writing time, and a follow up meeting to discuss findings.
Autism Diagnostic Testing
$1800
Autism testing includes diagnostic interview, questionnaires and administration of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule-2 (ADOS-2). This includes face to face time, plus test scoring and report writing time.
Autism Reevaluation for Insurance Purposes (returning patients)
$500
Some insurances require periodic updated autism assessment to continued treatment. This fee is for returning patients who have been evaluated by Dr Gavin in the past. This fee covers the assessment, questionnaires and report.
Psychotherapy and Consultation
Individual or Family Therapy
$200 per 50 minute hour
Payments
Dr. Gavin does not accept insurance. Each client or family will be provided with a “superbill” which they in turn can submit to their insurance. This bill will contain all the codes and information necessary for your insurance to reimburse you directly. Dr. Gavin is not on any insurance panels. She is not a Medicaid or Medicare provider. Dr. Gavin is a provider for the Step Up Scholarship.
Payments must be made at the time of the session. Forms of payment include cash, check, or electronic payments including Venmo and Zelle which can be done from your cell phone. You can download the Zelle or Venmo app from your app store.
