Dr. Gavin's Services
Once someone contacts Dr. Gavin, she will determine if she is the best psychologist for that person’s needs. She will then schedule a complementary15-minute phone consultation to see if there is a good “match” and develop a game plan. At that time, the fees for assessment or therapy will be determined.
Psychological Evaluation of Children
Dr. Gavin is an expert in the psychodiagnostic and psychoeducational assessment of children. This includes autism testing (ADOS-2, CARS, etc), intellectual testing, achievement testing, and personality testing. Testing involves several sessions, including a meeting with the parents at the beginning to gather developmental data, 1-3 testing sessions, and a feedback session. Fees include a written report.
The fees for psychological assessment range from $900 to $3,500 depending on the complexity of the testing.
Psychological Evaluation of Adults
Dr. Gavin works with adults interested in finding out more about themselves, including people wondering if they have attention deficits disorders or are on the autism spectrum.
Dr. Gavin often works with families where there is an adult child with disabilities who needs an assessment of their cognitive or functional abilities in order to find services.
Evaluations involve 2-3 testing sessions and include a written report. The fees for psychological assessment range from $900 to $3,500, depending on the complexity of the testing.
Psychotherapy and Parent Training
Dr. Gavin uses a variety of therapeutic approaches in working with clients, including cognitive behavioral, psychodynamic, family systems, and parent training.
The hourly fee for consultation and therapy is $200 per hour.
Dr. Gavin does not accept insurance. Fees are due at the time of service. Payments can be made via Zelle, Venmo, cash, or check. Credit cards are not accepted. Clients will be provided with a “superbill” which can be submitted to insurance for reimbursement.
